The Bible is complete: it is the one oldest and most accepted book by every race and culture. It teaches us about all course of study in life; be it Maths, language, science, lyrics, psychology, fiction just name it. The Bible teaching is real because it makes life real for us to see through the application of the words in all that we do and say. The Gospel that speaks to the world today is the Bible extracts. Acts 3:20 tells us about the second coming of Jesus, while Acts 3:21 highlights that He is coming for the RESTORATION of all things.
Satan was thrown out: the bible talks about the war in heaven Revelation 12:7, Angel Michael led his Angels against Satan and his wicked Angels. Satan lost and was thrown out of heaven. He became angry, came down on earth to wage war against mankind.
How then, do we think to have the power to deal with Satan here on earth? No! We have not but for HE that is in us has greater Power than he that is in the world. It is not by the power of our own intellect but by the power of God's word and certainly not by our own will but by knowing God's will, take a stand on his Will and enforce the terms is the only way. Satan's greatest weapon is our ignorance of God's words that is why he will fight us over studying and understanding the bible than most other things. Jesus says “you will know the truth and the truth will set you free” John 8:32
Invest on God's word and you will know the truth about God. If you build on this and come to understand who you are in Christ wow! You are more than a Match for the Enemy and he will no longer control your life. As long as you are not in alliance with Satan or in any way in routine with his odds, fear no evil. But if at all you are, then you MUST choose who your master is.
Application of the truth: knowing this and standing on it in times of trouble and trusting God to do what he says; that he empowers us not only to survive Satan’s attack but to triumph over him. When we know the truth of God's word and use it, this crumbles the walls of Satan. Satan uses death and wealth to threaten and overwhelm us. Jesus in the wilderness reduces Satan’s power to Zero by the words in the Scriptures “Man does not live on bread alone.........” the devil fled and left him Matthew 4:11
Prayer built on faith can move a mountain of darkness: be it a generational sin which can be rigid and stiff, can be smashed if we can press on the right button. That right button is the Word. Too busy to pray and to study your bible means too busy to draw strength from God. We can draw power from God by being closer to Him through daily prayer and study His words. This also helps us to cultivate attitude of self-control; a strong weapon we can use to fight and eradicate bad habits in order to restore peace and happiness in us and those around us. Prayer equips us with the power to fight against fear and doubts in life.
Knowledge is power: Human! One thing we are not very much aware of our being is that the death of Jesus on the Cross made a public spectacle of Satan and disarmed the principalities and powers of darkness. The bible says "my people are dying because of lack of knowledge". Knowledge is power; if we are fully aware, we will know that the enemy has already been defeated. Satan can only bluff, bully and make threats. He is a liar, he said to Eve in the Garden “No you will not die” Genesis 3:4 but man was plunged into sufferings and death immediately he sinned. Yes! the devil bluffs; he said to Jesus, “I will give to you all the kingdoms of the world” Matt 4:8-9. Where in the bible does it say that the devil took part in the creation of God's Kingdom? How then can he offer what he doesn't have? This shows that Satan's gift is reasonably fake and does not last if at all.
We make ourselves victims of his bully and threats: In our world today, we use our mouth carelessly and make pronouncements the devil holds onto. It is easy to underestimate the impact of what the words of our mouth can have on others. The bible warns that gracious words can lighten the load of others and give them hope; as well as harsh words of criticisms can make loads feel heavier on others than ever. Ephesians 4: 29 warns us to be kind and tactful of what we say. The enemy is at standby to use our own words against us. Satan has no account of us; he only relies on what is opened to him.
The last days: From the bible prophecy, according Luke 21:11 it is certain we are living in the last days when Men are becoming too materialistic, Wars, famine, Earthquakes, hate and killing. We all can bear witness that the scale and the frequency of these disasters are becoming greater and greater in our days. As Christians, we are representatives of the risen Christ in this world to promote reconciliation, justice and integrity. Let us show this to one another.
The Bible has power in it because it conveys the truth about God and Man. It teaches us who God is and God’s purpose of Man here on earth. The Word gives direction to life; follow the teachings and you will never get lost because you will embrace wisdom. The Bible visits every heart in sorrow with the words of comfort and hope. Clearly, it points out to the remedy for all human sufferings- the resurrection.
Do you stand and read the bible: in a haste or have no time to read at all, or just listen to others read, or join in because you want a leisure time?
The word of God urges us to be thankful to God and why; because it does not fail to strengthen us with such assurance that there is no end to God’s world. Revelation 21:4 says death will be conquered; there will be no more sickness, wars and pains.
In some cases we have ready-made questions to throw in to dismiss the truth or perhaps have existing notions such as the bible is written by human beings, has different interpretations or words are added on or subtracted from the contents or it’s contradicting at one place it says revenge and the other it says forgive. Sometimes we like to recite the bible to claim knowledge or to enjoy the reading party. Whichever way it affects you, remain calm Samuel heard God calling him three times before he released God was speaking to him.
One day you will have the hunger to know more about God. When that time comes, the willingness to spend time with God will prompt you to study your bible with an open mind. Just invite the Holy Spirit to intercede and you will have the hunger to embrace wisdom and knowledge and to seek answers to life questions. Responding to God's invitation can give purpose and meaning to your life and others around you. If you are not there already when you do; study with Faith. Faith is trusting in God and we can find Faith in Patience _ Obedience _and in Love.
